[Behind The Scenes] [Voiced Ver.] Ganyu's Bedtime Rubbing Challenge (Voiced, Cum in Underwear, Rubbing, Edging, CEI Risk, Humiliation)

This JOI is is a remaster of Ganyu's Bedtime Rubbing Challenge with AgoniAddiction's voice. It's the first time I'm working with music and voices in a JOI.

New Effects & Design

In order to provide more immersion, and points of focus. I have used new effects like rotating lines, and a blur focus. These additions have added quite a lot to the video. For observant ones, you can also notice light fog, which was also added in post, and is very slowly moving in the video.

Alongside other design upgrades, and upcoming ones, I have decided I will get rid of the simple intro, ending (text over a black background), and highly detailed transitions. For transitions, I have opted for more simplified text, but with a special 3D effect.

As for the ending and beginning of the video. The background texture was upgraded, with overall layout, font and interest. Music and faded transitions were also added to accompany the visuals in a moodier way. (You may have noticed a minor texture change in the Discord logo too as a result!)

Optimizations

In the last iteration of the video, I've used a script that turned text into different layers, each with its own segment of the text. The script automated the animation process. However, while it was an improvement, it was buggy, disorganized, and segmented.

With your help on the animation vs segmented vote, I was able to determine the best animation style to go for when trying to optimize this even further. A large majority preferred the new animation style, letter for letter. With this change, I was also able to put more personality into the text, with different speeds for each section.

Script & Research

The script has gone through a big overhaul, as vocal and text-only performances are significantly different. Without the voice, the text has to express a lot more emotion and character personality. With the voice, the voice artist does the personality and expression, and the text follows.

Sound design

As I've mentioned before, this is the first JOI to utilize music. In this case, music was a must. This is because without a voice, the music can be "too loud/distracting". But with the voice, not having music feels "too empty/unnatural".

The music choice in this video focused mainly on Lo-fi, but was very carefully picked in order to maintain a good atmosphere and focus, without distractions.

Future plans

The video has received significant upgrades, and future videos will use it to their advantage. Depending on how well this video performs, and the feedback I receive, I may consider voicing for the next video as well!
