Paris is Becoming Bicycle Friendly!

If you follow urban planning, you may have heard about all of the changes happening in Paris. There is a huge push to reduce car use and provide more space for walking, cycling, and public transit. But especially cycling.
I had heard a lot of great things, but wanted to see it myself, so I took the first international "business trip" for NJB, just to film it.
I met up with the man behind the French language cycling channel Altis Play (https://youtube.com/c/AlTi5play), and he took me around to see what was good, and not so good, about the changes happening in Paris!

I need to say that this video would not be possible without your support here on Patreon. It was expensive to travel to Paris, but it makes for a better video. I could have made a video based on other people's posts and videos, but it would not be nearly as interesting or informative as going there myself, and I that first hand experience is what I hope the channel can bring (in general) to urban planning content online.
In total, the train, hotel, meals, and other costs amounted to about €550. There's no way I could afford to do that for a single video if I didn't have Patreon, so thank you!

This was such an amazingly interesting video. In late 2019 (just before Covid exploded) my wife and I spent several weeks visiting many cities throughout Europe. I had never heard of Paris Syndrome, but my wife and I were originally going to skip Paris entirely. The only reason we did go was because we were going to catch so much shit from people going "WHAT?! YOU DIDN'T VISIT PARIS?!", so we decided to go. We wound up having the exact opposite of Paris Syndrome. We ended up loving the city and can't wait to go back! We're now even more excited to visit again after seeing this video. THANK YOU!
