Hey BP, this lesson is about playing the changes. The information is here for the learning. We have Chicago Blues, New Orleans traditional Jazz/Blues, Uptown Blues, etc. I wouldn't call one more sophisticated than the other.Just different approaches. All are valid and worth absorbing into your bag to use as you see fit. That's a part of innovation. For the benefit of Mr Kite. Depending in how high you want to fly, if you get my drift.

Yes! What Marco said.

This is being used as an educational tool; not as a platform to 'show off'.

Keep it up Jack!

With all due respect, the type of blues tutorials BP is asking for are a dime a dozen all over the internet. What Jack is providing is truly unique and provides foundational concepts that you can take in any direction you choose - bend away. Jack, keep on doing what you're doing and we appreciate it!

Smooth yes - but kind of anonymous and lacking in emotion. Suno would probably come up with something similar if you prompted it with "jazz blues guitar solo". I appreciate that this jazz-based style is "sophisticated", and it's useful to understand the harmonic rules that underly it. BUT couldn't that be done with some juicy, soulful, bluesy bends in there Jack? It would break up the monotony of the even eighths notes and add some SOUL. Your recent blues lessons have all been in this jazz-based direction. As a balance, how about some lessons focussing specifically on BENDS in the blues? Exquisite and richly varied pitch bending is probably the most characteristic thing about the guitaristic way of playing blues (as opposed to other instruments), and the sound that attracts most players and listeners to the expressive sound of blues guitar. You did some great earlier lessons on the likes of BB and Albert King. How about looking into how bending is being developed in different ways by some more contemporary players? BP
