A Thank You Post. For Everything So Far!

I'm been reflecting myself about what I'm been doing and working lately. The more I think about the currently work in progress SNES projects, the more confident I feel about my future. I really love what I do and everything we have achieved together so far.

Before the pandemic started, I barely had any free time to do anything SNES related. I got a job and several freelancer works to keep sustaining myself and my family (which includes my mom, dad, girlfriend, etc.). The pandemic started and having to stay most of the time at home, I slowly started working on the SNES projects again, first because I had more free time since I didn't have to spend hours traveling and second that brazilian economy had a breakdown just like the rest of the world.

Eventually, I got a few stopped projects like SMW MaxTile and Super R-Type SA-1 finished and everything I felt was joy. I was pretty happy to work with SNES again and since then I got my fanbase growing up quickly, which included this Patreon page. I realized that many people appreciate what I'm doing currently and this period made me realize that I don't have to maintain several freelancer jobs to sustain myself. The SNES projects not just is making me happy, but also other people are getting happy and I'm pretty grateful that it transformed into a huge support for me.

I have also done a lot in 2021 so far. Super R-Type, Axelay, Race Drivin', F-Zero ROM hacks. Super Mario World Widescreen is coming soon. I got the required hardware for Star Fox optimization project. U.N. Squadron, R-Type III, Final Fight, TMNT and much more are getting disassembled. And everything is being fun for me.

I might stay on the SNES community forever

I know there is many requests made so far. And I think this (staying forever) is the best way to fulfill all the requests... And I think it's perfectly possible to make this happen. If this page keeps growing up consistently every month, once the pandemic gets over I will likely have a fulfilled my first dream which is making my hobby part of my career. I will be able to sustain myself, not just for getting SNES equipment but also for everything else I need.

This Patreon page will keep strong as ever. And the success of this page might mean that SNES must be part of my live for a really long time, maybe forever time. We never know about the future, of course, but after 12 years studying myself SNES just for the fun and getting so awesome (and unexpected) results lately means everything for me.

I have updated my Patreon goals and description. Make sure to give it a read, since I have put a lot of heart on it. I'm grateful for the all support so far and I'm optimistic that this page can be the key of my career and I can keep working on the SNES projects for a really long time, without having to worry about sustaining myself... this is really great :)

Thank you and stay safe!

This is so great to hear. I think I speak for everyone when I say that your contributions to the retro and hacking community are beyond compare. I always make sure to spread the word about your impressive work. And while I wish I could give more to help your patreon grow into a full-time thing, I will at least keep on giving what I can and encourage other retro game lovers to think about doing the same.
