Rhiyen's Deal - Part VI
Added 2015-08-31 18:45:06 +0000 UTCOkay, with NoFP chapter 24 at final beta, I've polished up the next section of The Deal for your perusal. Some more character development as our protagonists start to grow comfortable with each other. Howard busts a move.
Regarding the 'man to man' conversation at the mall... I'm a big fan of the late great Robert Parker, and I really wanted to get the dialogue to feel like one of his conversations between Spenser and Hawk. (If you don't know what I am talking about, you owe it to yourself to check his work out. I'm not a big fan of detective fiction, but the way he writes dialogue and his character interaction is incredible.) If I made anyone say 'hey, yeah, it reminds me', I will be a happy, happy Evil Authorlord.
And if anyone unfamiliar with his work checks out Robert Parker, I will have done my good deed for the day.
