Update 8/17/21

I've been a little more busy than usual, so I thought I'd fill you all in on what's been going on for those curious. I'll be dividing this update into two segments, the latter being more personal. Feel free to skip that part if you're not too interested in my personal life, but I do think being transparent is something you guys deserve for supporting me!
New EP
First, some good news: the masters for my new EP have been submitted to the Future Funk label described in the last update! I'm hoping to have the release up by September 7th, so stay tuned. However, I will make a note that the release date is out of my hands, so while I'm hoping for a September 7th release, I also wouldn't be surprised if it gets pushed back. I'm also relying on the label for cover art, so that might also contribute to a delayed release. Hopefully everything goes smoothly though!
Personal Stuff
I unfortunately have to consider moving again. It feels like I only just finished moving to a new place, as anybody following my updates will know... but by September, I have to begin the search again due to my roommates abruptly deciding to move out.
For context, at the same time I'm preparing an audition for my college of choice (Berklee College of Music) for Saturday. When I was under the impression that I wouldn't have to move for months, my plan was to immediately begin job hunting after Saturday in order to support myself as I live on my own. Now that I'm not sure where I'll be living next month, those plans will have to be halted as I find a place to live.
My boyfriend brought up the possibility of supporting myself by opening commissions, which is an interesting thought... In particular, he suggested doing commissions for video game soundtracks and short songs of that nature. For anybody who's made it this far, I'd like to know what you think of this idea. I'm considering giving it a try!
