Hey Rotti patrons!
I'm currently studying for my interview for Berklee tomorrow. I've been going through the questions they might ask and that kind of thing, and I'm really practicing this piece... I need to perfect my transitions a bit more. Launching each part is a little tricky...
If you're curious about how I'm arranging this, attached is a picture of the project file for tomorrow. Each section (top to bottom) is a different section of the song. The first row of clips is the intro, and as it goes along it goes into the verse, etc. As I progress through the project, I control the frequency of the filter on the sample (you can hear this in the intro most prominently). I also do the vocal glitching live by the use of a beat repeat (Ableton's version of FL's Gross Beat I believe) and by switching between launching different vocal clips at different points. I'm doing all of this on my Ableton Push in real time!
My setup isn't too complicated, which is good because I mostly want to show off my song and sample chops during the audition. Wish me luck, I think I'll need it! Take care everyone, and thanks for the support! - m
