Here's my new track in lossless format. I think this way you'll really be able to hear the vinyl crackle on those string samples... hopefully...
For this track I wanted to do something chill, as that's been my mood recently, for the most part. However, I didn't want the track to be a downtempo slogfest, so I added in the energetic drums for some excitement. I've been working a lot with break beats recently, possibly as a sub-conscious influence from one of my biggest inspirations, DJ Shadow. Granted, I don't think Shadow has ever mixed his breakbeats with a house beat, but hey, that's my Future Funk / French House influences slipping through.
