Miscellaneous Myths: Loki Nearly Kills Everybody (Again)

And this time it wasn't even on purpose!

Miscellaneous Myths: Loki Nearly Kills Everybody (Again)

Comments

Usually these stories can start with "Loki was bored". "Loki was hungry" is a nice change up. Lol

It’s interesting how many pantheons have a sacred divinity granting food of some kind. The Norse have Idun’s apples, the Greco-Romans have Ambrosia (which is honey right?) the Hindus have the Amirita from the ocean of milk (so a milk product I guess;) could be a fun urban fantasy setting, that the world’s gods were created by sacred food that was consumed by lucky Bronze Age Hunter gatherers!

OceanKeltoi raised a valid point once: the apples (or some sort of fruit, really) need Ídunn's powers to work. She's the one granting youth, it seems, rather than her produce in and of itself.
