Shinomiya got smacked around only after she got shot in the chest, both arms and both legs. Kafka's couple of seconds power up would give her time enough to empty two mags of her OP shells in him and start beating him over the head with the rifle, of course if he then grabbed her it's all over. That moment in the bath when Kafka's trying to get out after spilling his story, that brings a smile.
