2024-08-13 01:33:02 +0000 UTCI haven't read the light novel, but I suspect they dropped that last line because they didn't know if they were getting a season 2 and wanted to give a bit more context for why they had the side story. Also you might not have noticed, but Diablo has the same voice actor as Geto (Jujutsu Kaisen).

Veldora's Journal 2, Ep. 36.5, recaps the first half of Season 2, although that one is more interesting and contains a small amount of original material. I've never seen either one be called spoilers.

BUT, it also contain spoiler for season 2.. so basically half S1 half S2 recap.... if you havent watch yet, i recommend watch it after you watch season 2.. if you did watch it, welp unlucky i guess.. 😅

You didn't mention it, but Black was shown last episode bemoaning the fact that he was finally summoned by Rimuru, but his own family got in the way. Remember he said, "I know you (Rimuru) will show me the truth of this world." Rimuru summoned a demon last episode to possess the golem Rimuru made for Ramiris to replace the Elemental Colossus Rimuru destroyed. ...... There's a whole lot of Demon Lore, and this one of the triggers for a whole lot of spoilers. It's hard to know where the boundary lies, though. Progenitor Demons are also known as Primordial Demons. They are stronger and older than all other demons, but among them there's variation. The color names are usually in French, hence Noir, Rouge, Blanc. These are not real names, they are designations. Demons evolutionary ranks we know of so far are: Lesser Demon, Greater Demon, and Archdemon. Among the latter two, there are ranks as well. Demons require a physical body to maintain themselves in the physical world. Orthos has acquired a permanent physical body, Black does not. They strongly suggest that Black used the Silver Wings' bodies as a temporary physical body, so as to stick around long enough take care of the contract. When he lost an arm, Black didn't have the ability to regenerate it for the duration of the summons. Demons don't generally do favors, they require some sort of equivalent exchange in return. Demons are generally experts in souls and magic. I'm going to cut this short for now but I might come back later.
