That is definitely some high praise coming from Veldora!! It's put in some huge amount of work since the beginning!

Gluttony is an incredibly powerful ability, even Veldora described it as “the ability to devour everything in sight, until he gobbled up the very stars in the sky - suggesting a monstrous potential”

Strength in Tensura isn't always straightforward. People are constantly arguing about who is stronger, and that's because multiple factors go into determining strength at any given time. It takes time, training, battle experience, and understanding their Skills.

Yeah definitely most of the battles in the first season were very one sided, but you're right his power had to be shown like that. He is very good at making connections and I think that's one of the things I like most about Rimuru. He's always willing to try and talk it out first rather than go straight into a fight.

There's always a bigger fish, I like that. These last few episodes have shown that there are much bigger fish out there than we've seen before. Season 1 definitely lulled us into thinking there wasn't ha.

A war you say. There's a thought. 🤔 Rimuru's power can be off putting for some who are used to slower build ups, handicaps, and plot nerfing. Personally I like the way this anime is layed out and paced because it doesn't take 30 episodes to have one fight. You get world building, humor, epic battles, and interesting characters in small digestible chunks that make understanding what's happening easier. I agree that I wish they would put more of the internal dialouge on screen for us to show that, while possible, the acts Rimuru performs are not always easy. The most important thing I've take away from this anime/LN is the phrase 'there's always a bigger fish.' You can have every power under the sun, but if you don't use it to its potential then there's a good chance someone else CAN, even if they are technically weaker than you. Struggling isn't always about not having the strength, it can be about not having the knowledge. Anyhoo, back under my blanket I go. Thanks for the great reaction guys! Can't wait to see what you give us next. 😊 🩷💛🩵

Rimuru’s doppelganger skill came from Ifrit. The chimera form was part of Gluttony, but in this instance, Rimuru unleashed the avatar of Gluttony. (Veldora is still in the barrier in Rimuru's stomach; Rimuru doesn't have his form or Skills.) He was able to activate it in the Holy Field because it was a Skill and Gluttony can forcibly transform physical matter into magicules. He was controlling that body, but he withdrew his consciousness and his soul, from the chimera form at the end. Disintegration is the highest-level single-person holy magic attack spell. Yes, Rimuru is mad. Also, it's a common thing to think about whether Rimuru is too strong or not. Opinions differ as to what that means. But on the other hand, Rimuru couldn't have been such an influence if he weren't so strong, unusually so. His abilities mean he can become stronger, and all of his people would be relative weaklings if he hadn't come along. His biggest superpower is making connections. One of the problems of this adaptation is that the battle scenes aren't fleshed out enough in terms of what's going on internally, so it doesn't show the struggles Rimuru (or anyone) goes through to win these battles. So it looks easier than it is.
