It is not said in the anime, but the novels tell us about the scar Tsukihi should have on her body: she jumped off the school's roof to save Karen from some dangerous people and got her chest pierced by some pieces of scrap while also breaking many bones, doctors said it was a miracle she didn't die. The strength of her regeneration depends on the amount of damage she takes, Yotsugi's attack was much more than lethal, as it quite literally blew her top half to smithereens, so the healing acted pretty fast, just like an adrenaline rush. She is, after all, an aberration living among humans, so not healing everything instantly helps with people not thinking something is off about her. Now, Shinobu was talking about how specialists use names to bind aberrations, but while it is pretty easy to understand her case with Meme, as he just simply gave her his "Oshino" name, Ononoki and Kagenui's case is more intrinsic and hard to understand if you don't speak japanese: "Yotsugi" means "cotangent" and "Yozuru" means "cosine", that's where the connection is. And still on about names, might be a nice time to talk about the Araragi siblings, as their names also follow a pattern: -Koyomi literally means "calendar" -Karen is a pun on how a japanese person would read the english word for "calendar" written in katakana (karendaa) -The kanji "Tsuki", meaning "moon", in Tsukihi's name is also the same kanji used to say "month" So here we can see that their parents really love calendars :) Time for the grand finale of this arc, with some real hype this time!

Tsukihi has such a violent, aggressive personality because she cannot fully conceptualize the idea of bodily harm, at least on an instinctual level. A lot of our aversion to causing harm is because we've all been wounded at some point. So if all your wounds heal up instantly, then it would be really hard for you to empathize with the pain you inflict on others.

Sorry to hear you’ve been sick, but I’m glad I could help in some way :D

Been sick the last few days, this made my night!
