The anime doesn't dwell much on the "meeting Episode" part, but it's nice to know that in the novel Hanekawa spends some good paragraphs noticing how weird she is just by the fact that she met a guy that literally ripped her open and instead of running she stood there and led a normal conversation with him. Just taking whatever comes her way, like Senjo told her.
And, if you remember, back in Nise when Yozuru revealed to Araragi that Kaiki was the one who told her about Tsukihi, she also told him that in college she was part of a club with Meme, Kaiki and an upperclassman, foreshadowing Gaen's character.
Also when you are feeling jealous you can use the term "yaku", which also means "to roast" and "to burn", that's why Hanekawa made the connection there as being the first thing that comes to mind.
