I’m hoping to see more interactions between them and a scene with Harry coming to understand the double edged sword that Emily is. They’re friends and he’s potentially avoided her becoming her future counterpart, but she clearly wants to be more. How he handles the situation going forth can cause a huge setback and possibly make her go off the rails completely, or he will understand that he needs to give her his love to avoid that future from happening! Romantic yet edgy. I love it.

Does Harry after all his experiences still not understand how vulnerable Emily is and how his brute dismissal may counteract all the careful manipulation he managed so far? Even though he's probably talking about the alcohol, Emily might easily interpret this as outright disgust to the idea of romance with her.
