Paradise Blues - 2025 Update

Hey! I know the patreon post updates have been long overdue, so I wanted to give you guys as progress update on everything that has been going on since the start of the new year. If you haven't yet already seen the #patreon-wip channel in the discord (only accessible to supporters), I highly recommend checking that periodically as that's where I post WIP's and sneak peaks of things currently being worked on. My goal with that has been to keep small updates there, and then post the polished versions here when finished.

The following list is just a fraction of what has been worked on in the last few months. Many of these things are complete/nearly complete, and will be getting their own patreon posts here very soon with a lot more detail-

QUESTS:
- The Atomic Option" - An alternate storyline where players have the option to launch a nuke from the Ashton Missile Silo to Camp McCarren. (an old NCR contingency plan). Once detonated, the map will transform into a "hardcore" mode, and lock players out of the main story EE.

TERMINALS:
- Developed functional terminals, which will be used for the purpose of purchasing ammo, support items, world events, lore, and more.

SPECIALIST ITEMS:
- Created various "specialist" items that can be purchased via terminals. These items include an Artillery Strike, an Attack Vertibird, and a Power Armor airdrop, with many more still being worked on.

PERK SYSTEM:
- Created an in-depth perk system that so far includes 35+ individual perks. The goal with these perks is to maximize replayability and create a new experience for every session.

LEGENDARY WEAPONS:
- Created a legendary weapon system, where "legendary" effects can be applied to weapons during PAP. There are many possible different legendary effects for each type of weapon, each providing unique weapon alterations.

WEAPON ATTACHMENTS:
- Created a custom attachment system where randomized attachments will be added to weapons purchased from vending machines. Almost every single weapon has numerous unique attachment possibilities, each giving the weapon vastly different stats.

CRITICALS:
- Created a "critical" feature, where players can build up a critical bar that can be activated once filled. Once activated, massive critical damage will be applied to the next enemy that the player attacks. Criticals will work in tandem with certain perks, giving opportunity to earn critical faster and holding multiple at a time.

ARMORED ENEMIES:
- Created an enemy armor system where various enemy types can spawn with different levels of body armor. Depending on the level of armor, damage done to the enemy will be reduced by a certain amount, and each armor piece has its own health. Individual armor pieces can be dynamically shot off the enemy, which will cause the enemy to take normal damage in the area the armor was shot off.
