I don’t care who it is, NEVER let anyone disturb your peace. I’m an only child as well and have dealt with a lot from my mother. It hasn’t been until recent years that I have gotten myself to a place of peace and will not allow it to be sacrificed for the sake of family. I will “I’ll call you back later” with the quickness. All that you do in their eyes is never enough for either of them. So, I stopped! I don’t answer, speak or engage with them until I get ready. My blood pressure has dropped tremendously! ☺️My dad always told me to divorce your family, I understand this now! 😏
