A Battalion of Bulwarks Arrive - Crusade Painting Competition

It’s been a week since we announced our next Campaign, the Penitent Crusade, and folks are already gearing up by painting the free Bulwark we shared - with a few more weeks left, there’s still time to paint your own for a chance to win a free pledge in our Painting Competition!

Entry Spotlights

A few of you have already shared your absolutely gorgeous pieces with us - if you’re in need of inspiration for your Bulwark - look no further!

First up, Marccookie over on Discord shared this monochromatic spin on the stock bulwark - this small tweak to the colour scheme makes a big change to the overall feel of the piece!

Gallowbait, purveyor of high grade grimdarkness (check out his Dark Forest minis) has taken his Bulwark for a stroll through Doaden’s deep woods - and picked up a bit of corruption along the way. He’s achieved this radical look by mixing in some choice parts from the Knights of the Beast collection - bravo!

 Next, Fritella Painting Studio over on Instagram shared this awesomely dirty spin on the classic scheme, this guy looks like he’s been through a brutal campaign at the borders of the Ashen Wastes!

Next, Cade E has shared this wonderfully brutal Bulwark - covered in the blood of his foes, that blue-ish undertone really makes the red tips pop!

Dana K shows just how much a headswap can change the vibe of a model, this Bulwark appears to have some kind of clayware covering his head, whatever is hiding underneath, we’re sure it’s nothing good! Love that splash of colour on the mace too!

Marccookie again with another stunner - this piece takes major advantage of the modular cuts, using only the stock torso, and mixing in some decidedly trench-y energy - we love it!

Last up, 99000hobbys is cooking up an absolutely harrowing vignette, displaying the harsh ‘justice’ of the Azerai Empire. It’s awesome to see so many different kits come together to form a story like this - awesome work that two handed pose too!

• Paint the model (or use parts in a kitbash—just be sure the Bulwark is featured).

• Submit your entry:
