Nonsensical censorship.

It's always baffled me why we feel the need to shield ourselves and each other from the concept of a naked body. Something we literally all have. Shame is instilled in us from such a young age about one of the most natural things there is, and that internalised needless embarrassment then alters how we behave with each other, how we think about ourselves, and so much more. It really saddens me. I wish everyone could feel at home in their body's natural state. I'm certainly determined to try!
Not to mention how censoring specific parts of ourselves actually adds to the taboo of nudity and the over-sexualization of women. When you censor a photo what you're actually doing is drawing specific attention to those parts of the body and almost highlighting them. It feels like a spotlight is suddenly shone on your "areas". It's counter productive, outdated and insanely damaging.
Hopefully one day Instagram will sort it out but for now I'm going to enjoy growing this page into a wonderful little naked embracing blog of mine! 🖤
