I don't think I'll ever be 'suitable' for civilised society!

Self love is a hard one. It's easy for people to preach it when your body resembles all the beauty standards of todays unrealistic world. But how about the rest of us? Trying to love yourself in your purest form when you don't fit the modern guidelines of what a socially acceptable woman is, just makes the journey that much harder. And more terrifying to display.

Chunky thighs, body hair, messiness & reckless abandon. All things present in this photo, all things I'm learning to love, and all things I'm trying to quit dulling down to benefit the judgemental world we live in over my own happiness.

Mainly, all things that contradict the impossibly long list of factors that make up that uncomfortable & unrealistic shape of 'lady' that we're told we must contort into to be accepted.

And fuck that.

Be unapologetically untamed. And fiercely authentic. You don't need anyone's permission. Your body is not less valid just for existing in its natural state and your behaviour is not improper just because you don't try to shrink yourself down for societies outdated sexist criteria.
