Getting somewhere!

I actively tried to speed up the pacing in this chapter. I think I've been slowing it down a lot, because I've been reading Stephen King a lot lately, and that dude's prose linger and drag on for aaaaaages. My writing pace still lingers, but I manage to get through some pretty huge story beats faster this chapter. Let me know how it reads.

I was also tempted to add a whole section here, exploring Jeremiah and Azamel in depth. That could have easily hit 30k words, over 2 chapters. While Jeremiah and Azamel may be characters my imagination wants to explore, I realized it was a nasty case of author bias. Authors love to explore their side characters, even when it's to the detriment of the reader.

Edit: I haven't missed doing a check for a bookmark note left in a chapter in months. I forget this time, and left one in! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU--it's a minor note, thankfully, just a detail about the fire spreading in the area. I've updated these uploads to have it removed. Scary to leave one in though, cause they sometimes have spoilers!
