Sense 8 is a great series, but Queer as Folk has a special place in my heart.

Pose is about the โBallroomโ sub-culture of NY black gay โdrag ballโ that inspired Madonnaโs Vogue (which in turn was inspired by Vogue magazine. Watch Paris is Burning for more details). Sens8 is the Matrixโs directorโs (they are trans now so I donโt know how to address them) TV sci-fi Odyssey. Both very good.
