Hey everyone! As the Baleful Warden patrons probably know already, I'm currently wrapping up the current story arc, so there will likely be several chapters of "filler" after chapter 53.

The reason for this is simple, I have several ideas on the direction of the story, and each idea has its own merits, so I'm bouncing the ideas around with my Editor at Portal Books and several of my professional colleagues there. I don't want to write myself into a corner and end up using plot armor to change directions, so I figured some wholesome filler chapters would be a happy middle ground.

Due to the premise of my story, 30ish year old with family ties and friends meets system apocalypse, I find myself having a lot of characters that don't see a lot of screen time, which waters down each character overall. That's not something that I'm happy with, and I'd like to refocus on a smaller cast of folks for awhile, but without going all game of thrones haha.

I feel like a lot of the magical moments that were memorable happened in smaller group settings, and I'd like to get back to that same mindset. I definitely think Spock will be tagging along regardless of the stories direction, but I also wanted to get some feedback from you, my patrons and people who help support me.

What would you like to see happen, and with who? Are there any filler chapters that could fill in some gaps or show some different POVs you'd be interested in seeing for a short while? What do you think about the smaller character cast, and who would you like to see join Drew, and why?
