Added 2025-06-24 21:12:32 +0000 UTCHey y'all! I've got more chapters coming your way later this week. But in the meantime, here's a couple of updates. First, Discount Dan book 1 is currently FREE on Amazon for anyone who hasn't already picked up a copy. It'll be free all week.
Second, Discount Dan book 2 will officially be releasing next week on Tuesday, July 1st! It's available for preorder now if anyone would like to snag a copy. With that said, since most of you have already read it, please, please, please consider taking a minute or two on Tuesday and leaving an honest review on Amazon, Goodreads, or both. Early reviews are so incredibly helpful for authors like me and for the success of a series like this one. There are also other ways you can contribute. If you're active on social media at all (Facebook, Reddit, TikTok, whatever) please consider telling your friends about the book. There are a lot of groups with very strict self-promotions rules, but those same rules don't apply to you!
Lastly, here is a free Advanced Reader Copy of book 2, Cul-de-sac Carnage, as a way to say thank you for all of your support. Just click the link, grab a copy through bookfunnel, and download to your preferred reading device. The audiobook is also coming shortly. It was supposed to release simultaneously with the ebook version, but now it looks like there is a delay and it probably won't come out until the following week. It's a big bummer, I know, but hopefully we shouldn't have to wait too long.

There's a bit of a rub, because Audible only bought the first 3. So far I think they are happy with how the audiobooks have sold, but my wife and I meet with them again in a few weeks (after book 2 launches), to discuss whether they want to renew the series (3 more books). I think they will. With that said, even if they don't want to renew the series for audio, I made sure to get it put into the contract that I can still produce more audiobooks without them, and we have a great relationship with Steve Campbell, the narrator. So even if Audible passes, I will still write and publish more Discount Dan. As far as how long the series will go. The shortest would be six books. There's just no way I could do the series justice in fewer than six books. More likely eight or nine books.
