1. The sense I got from that line is that Pooh was suffering from whatever effect warped Eeyore, Tigger and the rest but was fighting it off thanks to his concern for Christopher Robin

In Chapter Forty-Six – Oh Bother, there's this: > “Oh yes.” The bear nodded in confirmation. “Just like that bunch who trapped me. They all > having missing patches of skin, and seem to be searching for someone, though I can’t > remember who…” he trailed off and his eyes widened in obvious concern. “Do you think > they’re looking for Christopher Robin?” > > Something angry and feral rippled behind his dark marble eyes and, just for a moment, his fur > bulged and grew before shrinking back down. That implies Poo will go berserk if anyone threatens "Christopher Robin", and the only reason he's being friendly is because he doesn't think the main characters are a threat to his boy. I was actually kind of expecting him to BE the Last Boss, with the gang having to kill him, and it ending up being a huge tragedy and moral conundrum. Since that didn't happen - and since Poo actually kind-of talked "Christopher" into killing himself - you might want to take out the foreshadowing, there. 2.) I like the concept of this chapter's ending, with Poo ultimately being the one to "defeat" the Franchisor, by reminding him who he is, but that sequence felt a bit rushed. And in particular, the Franchisor's sudden 180 was a bit jarring. Maybe stretch things out a bit by giving James and Poo a bit of back-and-forth? Like, for starters I feel like James should initially try to ignore what Poo wants, and attempt to physically to go around him to get to the main characters. Poo wouldn't allow that, while the main characters look on, unsure if it's a good idea to interrupt or not. And then maybe have the Franchisor go through the stages of grief? I feel like he'd need a bit of time to come to grips with what Poo wants, to reconcile it with what he thinks he's been doing, for Poo's sake. (sorry, I know I'm kinda making more work for you here ^^;;;) Anyways, hope this helps!

2025-09-15 12:29:27 +0000 UTC10/10 book. Fantastic work. I really hope you do a pov switch to the Monarc at the start of the fourth book, I'd love to know his reaction to this. It would be fun! The next few weeks are gunna suck without Dan! But so worth it.
