Zombie puking blood aside (next page is worst) this exchange is great to me because it's a complete inversion of the argument they had in the third chapter, when Duane was the one who threatened to leave. Even later, in their confrontation in the toy shop, it was still Sette who made Duane promise not to abandon her.
But now it's Duane who can't do without her, and he knows it, and she's stronger than anything else jabbering in his head. Sette has all the power here. Now, if only she can figure out the responsible way to use it.
