Added 2022-08-29 04:01:54 +0000 UTCIt's been a while since we saw the Crescian government, but last time we did, succession woes were in the air~ The Queen's sister and next in line to the throne was assassinated by two-toes in Sharteshane a few weeks ago. Immediately afterwards, the ruling council of nobles withdrew their support for the Queen's back-up heir, suggesting she come up with someone else. Now it sounds like they're not going to cooperate with her at all! This unprecedented move could leave the country in dire straits if something happens to Queen Sonorie...
I know scenes like this aren't super popular but they're actually some of my favourite things to write. I like devising all these one-off characters and implying their relationships with each other through broad dialogue. Just little snippets of interesting people.
I also love Chancellor Ufal who really just wants to go drink and dance and not be on the clock today or be attacked by monsters. That's a mood.

I may be one of the few that enjoys dialogue more than action. You do both really well, but I love the talking.

2022-08-29 15:15:56 +0000 UTCI love scenes like these! To see a lot of characters like this makes the world feel more diverse and live-full. I think a lot of save-the-world stories just kinda... forget to show the world that needs the saving with human faces. So it ends up weird, as the audience mostly cares about the same half a dozen of characters regardless of the conflict's scale. Honestly a shame there is not a lot of close up on these characters (yes I know they are unimportant, it would be confusing to give them spotlight, but these look to have cewl designs!)
