But First Sette never got to answer that question. Like so many of the khert's wailing dead, she died in ignorance, and her parents didn't respect her in death any more than they did in life. Sucks, man. And here comes another eel.

To answer First Tabaxi's question and Sette's commentary, I am kind of torn between: "O my child, I cannot give you the eternal circle, but I can give you the arrow's flight." and "Morty, what people call 'love' is a chemical reaction that compels animals to breed."

It could be argued that khert-Boo is kind of like a plushie, but he can't leave the khert now, alas. She can only hug him here.

Poor First Sette should've realized she couldn't win, only the heroes get the full costume budget and they had to skimp out on hers for that rad eel-lion she made. Poor kid doesn't know she's just passed the apex of her hope, and the nadir is very, very deep.

It's novel to see one of those torn out, and I suppose First Sette will have a harder time contending with something that isn’t an eel.) I like how keenly Sette has been prepared, knowing how to stall Duane's reawakening, seizing the next harsh memory to disorient her opponent, now the only questions that remain are where Duane dropped her body and how Sette is going to climb up to First given the fact that she lacks wings or comparable mobility. (Also, lovely little detail: Sette now has a blinded eye to parallel First's.) (Also also, I really need Sette to get a new stuffed toy, given that she is unlikely to ever reclaim the one from Sharteshane… Sadness. DUANE! Purchase a toy! Sette shall hide it in her bedroll and pretend it was never there during the daylight but it shall be hers!)
