I appreciate a creator who can put their feelings aside and work on a theme/topic they don't particular care for. That aside, I personally like the ship, and even if I didn't, you still did an amazing job on this! One of the major things I like about your work is the subtle shift in expressions that you give the characters. It really adds onto the piece!
