I've given a lot of thought to "bad endings" and "alternative routes". The plan is to be able to branch out depending on the characters you stick with, that's fine and all but many people have suggested that we have bad ends.

However, the problem for me is I don't really want X bad thing to happen = Game Over and that's it. Even if you get a bad end I still want you to have a satisfying ending whether it be a good or bad ending.

Of course you'll have a possible ending with you become a hero, xxx save this person. All positive good stuff. But this game isn't just about that, it can get very dark and sad if you aren't careful.

I can give NPC's some random bad endings (for example a girl lures you into her house alone, it's a trap and they kill you) and scatter different game overs around like that or instead I can cut out any random game overs and leave them for main characters only.

Uh… I'm not exactly sure what is being asked here… "Game Over" just means the *game* is *over*… Which means it is some kind of ending… A good ending, bad ending, a dog ending, an insanity ending, an ending behind a pay wall, a harem ending… These are all some form of Game Overs… But I'm against random game overs… If I'm playing a game, sexual or not, and there's no indication that something I can do\choose will end the game, and then I find my self meeting some kind of ending, good, bad, or any other kind… It's not fun. I made a choice and the game ended, but there was no warning. It's even worse if I hadn't saved recently. Random game overs don't have any form of acknowledgeable warnings. That's what random is to me. Random, unforeseeable, unpredictable. Thus I'm not likely to be able to tell that an upcoming scenario can cause the game to end based on my choices or actions, so I don't instinctually save. There's a reason so many games have huge imposing doors, or ridiculously large locks, usually both, on boss room doors these days. It tells the player "yo, the stuff past this point… it's tougher than the other stuff in the area… ya might wanna save before proceeding."

What's the point of having an answer for "Both" if this is basically a yes or no question? Of course people will vote for it; more content of all variety is always good V.V. Personally, I'm all in for the bad ends!
