APRIL ALREADY?!?
Added 2024-04-11 20:46:43 +0000 UTCAnother month come and gone!! Thank you so much for still being here with us in the month of April!! A LOT has been going on, so I'll keep you updated on all the fun (and not-so-fun stuff).
Starting off with some not-so-fun stuff, I had another heart episode while on my way to Boston this past weekend. One minute I was totally fine, chatting with Russ about some fun future video ideas, and the next minute I suddenly felt like I couldn't breathe. I felt a HUGE wave of electricity pass over me (the same feeling I felt back in December when my heart rate spiked to 222) and blood rushed to my face, and suddenly my vision started to blur and darken. I'm really lucky that I was wearing my EKG heart monitor, because I got a call a few hours later confirming it was another tachycardia episode, and apparently this one came from a different part of the heart than my other episodes.... which could possibly mean it's time for a second heart ablation procedure. :( It's still too early to tell, and I have some follow-up appointments next week, but if I'm being honest, I'm not feeling too optimistic about it... The electrical wave feeling was uncannily similar to my first episode, and I haven't felt that since it first happened.
On a more positive note, Russ and I were at Worcester Polytechnic Institute for the FX Pedal Hackathon event, and we had an absolute BLAST!!! It was so much fun meeting and talking with the students, and my favorite thing is letting people try out the harp (especially through effects!), so I had an amazing time. I was "working" from 10AM - 5PM, but the time flew by, and I got to meet a lot of wonderful people! This will definitely be a yearly event for Russ and I, because it was so cool trying out the effects that the students created.
After the Hackathon, Russ and I visited EAE headquarters and got to spend some time working with John! I found these amazing magnifying glasses that builders sometimes use while soldering, and I fell in love with the look (see below).

We're back home now, ready to work on some more fun video ideas. If all goes well, we should have a new video coming out tomorrow, and another really fun video coming out on 4/20. We are also working on updating the whole Patreon in general, so stay tuned for some exciting changes and additional tier benefits! :)

Your video with Yvette was hilarious (she’s my other favorite stringed instrument lady), I love seeing you two goofing around. Hope you feel better soon, 💝 much love from San Jose.
