November 3rd, 2018: Progress Report

Hello everyone! 

Before I forget all the progress I've made, time to write the first Progress Report for Karen's Prison! (temporary title)

In my last post several days ago, I mentioned that I completed the basic framework of the foundation of the combat; since then I've started filling out the skeleton with proper limp support so to speak. Everything I'm about to write below have been coded now.

Each turn in combat is generally broken into two phases: The Mental Phase and the Action Phase. The Mental Phase involves Karen using her Willpower to provide help to herself. At the start of the game, Karen has access to Willpower skills that can restore her Energy and suppress her various sexual desires. You can use as many Willpower skills as you want during the Mental Phase but their cost will rise during that turn. 

After the Mental Phase is the Action Phase. Here is where Karen is able to actually do actions such as attacking the enemy and using sex skills (the code for Karen's sex skills is not implemented yet though as of this writing). Unlike the Mental Phase, you can only choose to use one skill in the Action Phase.

Besides the aforementioned Willpower, Karen also has Stamina, Energy, Desires, and Pleasure stats. To keep it simple, Stamina is required to attack and to defend against attacks. Pleasure and Desires rise when sex moves gets used on Karen, and if her Pleasure reaches a certain point, she will have an orgasm and lose Energy. Having no Stamina and Energy makes Karen lose the battle. High Desires are required for the enemy to use more and more potent sexual moves on Karen that eventually lead to intercourse, and the only way to keep Karen's desires low is by spending Willpower during the Mental Phase. Of course, you could choose not to suppress her desires at all...

Enemy sexual moves are divided into three types: Mental stimulation, physical stimulation, and male genital contact. Mental stimulation is the first step and is divided into, for the lack of better words right now, Talk and Sight. Talk type skills are like enemies flirting with Karen, or complimenting her, or vulgarly describing her various assets. Sight type skills are like enemies  staring at her various assets, maybe while even jerking off. 

When Karen's desires are high enough, then enemies will start using physical stimulation such as caressing Karen's butt or tits, fingering her holes, or kissing her. And finally when her desires get even higher, the enemies will start inserting their penis into any hole they can find.

Karen will be defeated when she has no more Stamina AND no more Energy. However enemies can be defeated just by running out of either one. 

Besides the sex system above, I've implemented and repurposed Pina's STR-DEX-AGI-CON system to Karen's Prison, as well as the Graze system. In addition, I've implemented a, well, I guess weapon triangle or elemental triangle or something for a lack of better term right now. Anyone who has played Fire Emblem will be very familiar with what a weapon triangle is. For Karen's Prison, non sexual attacks are mostly one of three types: Slash, Pierce and Blunt. Slash beats Blunt, Blunt beats Pierce, and Pierce beats Slash. Karen's weapon of choice is a Halberd, and as such she has access to all three types of moves. If she attacks using a Slash-type attack against an enemy who previously attacked with a Blunt-type attack, then she will receive an Accuracy and Damage bonus against him. The same goes true however for the enemy, as well the reverse: If someone attacks with the weak element against their target, their attack will have reduced Accuracy and Damage. 

Now until the next Progress Report, the main thing I want to implement is Karen's sex moves. Right now, only the enemy can use sex moves on Karen. I'm actually not 100% how to implement yet it, which is why I'm taking a mental break by writing this Progress Report. But well, I'll figure something out.
