This is going to be Amazing! I am sure there is a insulation for the heat of aluminum in tropical climate and extreme sunlight? can you fill us in?

That is why when you insulate a house you always run the house wiring closer to the inside wall (avoiding the foam) so you can access all the wires should a repair need to be made. Running all your electrical and communication wires in (oversized) conduit is an excellent idea. Additionally if you need to chase new wires you have an easy way of doing it. I would also suggest putting in access ports in various strategic places along the conduit runs where new wires can be retrieved or and pulled out later.

Hi guys! Have you had conversations about how you’re going to insulate the structure? My experience is in commercial maritime where 2 part spray foam is the standard. However, spray foam is extraordinarily flammable and once ignited, will burn with a passion while releasing super toxic smoke. This means the smallest weld job anywhere on the hull requires removing a huge amount of insulation, then redoing it once the job is finished. Also the interior wiring is usually run right through the foam, so the smallest short and you’ve got fire inside the walls and ceiling. I’d love to hear if there are other good options out there that have an okay balance of insulation vs weight. If you do go spray foam though, maybe consider running the wiring in conduit or channel so it never contacts the foam! Best of luck on this next chapter, we are so excited for a future where more aluminum expedition cats are roaming the oceans! Tanner

I'm interested in the timeline! Will it be called Delos? What happens to the Amel long term? Okay, exhausted my list :D

I’m so happy for you guys! Nugget can go to school and be with kids, mom can fly in for months at a time. Brian can work a day building and the excitement of it all will be so fun to watch. In a couple years, I’m looking forward to the splash! You guys are loved by us!

Where is the sign up sheet for us to provide free labor?? I will start saving my pennies to pay my way.

Hi guys, I live in the EU, and when watching your latest YouTube release where you decided to do the build in OZ instead of Sweden, I joined your patreon as I want to find out more... I've been scouring potential build venues across the EU, but perhaps I shouldn't even bother with this... Could I ask you to touch on the approximate (initial) costs of the materials for the build (CNC cut ALU) and the plans (although I have a rough idea of this from talking to David already). Second question, will you be working with Stradbroke Yachts on this build? If so, how much would this cost for the whole build? Third question is regarding the visa situation and how much time you will be able to spend in OZ to actually be able to work on the build. My budget is very limited, so I would really like to get an estimate on how much the material costs are (I would do as much as I can myself), and how much you are actually saving by doing this in OZ. Maybe I'll join you guys....
