Totally agree! I love how the twist ties into the slightly sombre tone of the ending. Curry wound up becoming a really interesting character.
2023-10-09 02:37:57 +0000 UTCYep I thought this would be a fun watch after Tombstone and Dragon since it has some elements of each. Also agree that the twist was pretty neat, partially because of how slow burn the movie was. It really lets you sink into the characters so when Curry realizes it and gets excited you share in the excitement. It also makes the *second* twist at the end hit harder because you understand why he'd do it at that point; its not only the sort of "survival at any costs" thing he showed with attacking Wyatt in the house earlier but also his fandom of the Billy the Kid myth that he ended up wanting to be a part of. It also just works as an ending to the movie too, getting to see a legend and then him fading away. In general I just really liked how slow and simple it was. Very atmospheric and well-shot
