Scene, a bedroom, where Velvet lies in sickly repose on facetime with a friend:

“No one is going to believe I fell down some stairs, got a bad cold and came down with pneumonia all in the same month.”

“Really? No one will believe you’ve had one really unlucky month in three years?”

“…no.”

“And what’s your plan? You push yourself to work, die of pneumonia and then everyone believes you’re sick?”

“...is that not a good strate—“

(gets verbally smacked in the nose with a rolled up newspaper)

So, I've been (lovingly) bullied into admitting I’m sick. A loved one got bacterial pneumonia recently and I’ve been designated caregiver since then. Turns out it wasn’t bacterial but viral. Now, I’ve got it. I thought if I loaded up with meds, vitamins and fluids while resting as much as I could once I realized I was getting sick, I’d avoid the worst of it, and could force myself to record/edit last minute...

But...yeah, that didn't work. Yesterday my fever hit 103.4 and I was an incoherent, wheezy mess, what with my brain cooking and all. (Better today! Only 100.9 so far, thank god.)

I’m sorry, everyone. Everything is getting pushed back, including Creature Comforts and Patreon exclusives. I really hope only by a week at most, but I don't know how this is going to go yet. Hopefully I won’t have to cancel the event entirely.

I’ll be back as soon as I can. I'll make some extra exclusives to make up for it, too. For now I’m going to bed.
