Persuasion
Added 2021-08-02 18:23:31 +0000 UTCIn general, I noticed the problem long enough that all encounters in the game follow the same scenario: you try to behave appropriately - you are considered a monster - battle - you win - sex. And if all encounters until the end of the game were the same way, it would be incredibly boring, so quite by accident I came up with a new mechanic that should diversify the gameplay and solve some problems - persuasion.
In fact, with persuasion, you can avoid encounters that could be fatal for you. So, there will be quests in the game, in which the opponents will be obviously stronger than you, and to complete the quest you will have to fight not with your hands, but with your words.

In the case of this archer, you carefully choose the right words so that she will not consider you as her enemy (dialogue options on the screenshot are just examples, not actual options that you'll see in the game).
Like, you can ask her to put down her bow, and if your previous words were convincing for her, she will agree, but if you were not convincing enough, then the same request to put down her bow will seem as if you want to disarm her, in which case you will make the situation even worse. The first event will be introductory, but later it is possible to have a lot of options for more interesting ways of persuasion.
For example, some opponents will be impossible to persuade at all for certain reasons. And you will have to look for additional modifiers, like, to find an item that the character needs, or talk to someone, so you will open secret modifier options and it will become much easier to persuade the character.
