Thrown into this small world, away from global conflicts, you meet several characters simply dealing with their problems and living their lives. The lives you will, one way or another, change. After deciding what goals you want to pursue in this new world, you are free to do so. You can go wherever you want and do what you want. And whatever this will be, it will have an impact on this tiny piece of land you live in. That is what I'm on right now and what I'm almost finished.
There are two principles to which my experience led me: anything can be done with a different approach and anything you've done can help you in the future.
I love the simple magic system I've already created where anything you've cast increases your experience and thought why not develop it even further? Why, if you have magic, it only affects your spells in combat and doesn't allow you to use it in necessary situations. As you grow in your abilities, they will help you and you will see the results of your actions. As you find more information about the world and put the whole picture together, this knowledge will help you too. Everything is connected, and this connection gets even tighter because of the tinyness of this seemingly harmless place.
Speaking of knowledge, I have increased the emphasis on lore and put in a lot of details to form the overall picture. It is so fittable here because the main character of the update respects knowledge. And even in situations of complete, devastating amnesia, she respects at least a desire to get this knowledge. And by the way, she is my proudest achievement out of all additions to the game. A beautiful night with her was accompanied by a wanky, short, and meaningless plot, but now she is breathing as a character, letting you truly know her motives and understand her emotions.
There were things that delayed the update, I can't deny that. Bad things. But I just want to say one thing: We're two weeks away from the T-day, the game's birthday, and while I don't want to name any deadlines again, I think the best gift would be to do so. After a long pause, the game continues, the world and characters evolve, and the Inquisition gets closer and closer to your quiet and peaceful home. We're almost there.
Stay safe.
