Step 1: I’m creating a landscape spline-based train rail from scratch.
Step 2: Using Modeling Mode, I draw the spline, which serves as the base for a smooth animation and allows easy placement of additional points along the path. The spline should be removed after finishing the setup, as leaving it can cause unwanted behavior—like teleporting when jumping onto the train. The more points you add, the smoother the animation will be, even after the spline is deleted.
Step 3: I create the animation sequence. Using a single mesh makes looping simple, but with three or more objects, you'll need to adjust the start and end delays on the path to achieve a seamless loop. It can be a bit tricky, but using the spline as a base ensures smooth and accurate movement in the final result.
To add realism, I also place a prefab bridge and tunnel on the island.
P.S.: Keep the animation sequence as short as possible, and control the speed directly using the Cinematic Device.
