2025-06-27 20:47:17 +0000 UTChmmm what i made of this reveal, as an unconditional understander of mizi, is that mizi is as much human as she can be, its like they're even emphasizing the human vs alien world by showing the complexity of her emotions and actions. Starting off with naming body characteristics that are in same with sua, while all being human characteristics, really begins to show how she could've felt so isolated and oppressed by aliens who shared no resemblance to her or could ever try to understand/empathize, since it just seems like they can't. It seems the aliens treat her (or humans in broad) as toys/ fun things ( it reminds me of getting a toy puppy to look at it cutely roam around, pampering it for my enterainment, but as well, not caring if it hit the wall or i stepped on it because why would i emphathize with a toy and feel bad, its just a toy, yfm?) Now, putting a sentient human in that situation, it's obvious they are just gonna feel like their existence has no value, just a thing. Mizi in this situation, has all her actions stripped away, literally lost all bodily autonomy. Now imagine the traumatized mizi where she sees that she can escape her oppressors, get out of that suffocation of being treated like a toy for their amusement, and that hopeless, powerless place? Of course its understandable why she would go for that, like what? Another thing with how she wants to “crush” someone else. in short i feel like she’s trying to reclaim power, but in more length, i believe she could be identifying with the aliens (the oppressors and mizi the victim) by definition its a defense mechanism where the victim adopts the beliefs, behaviors, attidudes, and mimics the actions of the aggressors/oppressor in order to regain power/ reduce fear. This is SO seen in mizi: telling sua she’s adorable just like the aliens did to her, wanting to “crush” like the aliens did to her, be the one in ultimate power (upper hand) in relationships. So that's why i would believe that when she INITIALLY arrived, that was her purpose, she was mimicking what they had done to her to cope. Now it's SO SO SO SO IMPORTANT TO UNDERSTAND FACIAL EXPRESSIONS because as mizi is doing this treatment to sua she looks SO MISERABLE AGH MY HEART SHATTERS INTO BILLIONS. While the aliens couldn’t understand Mizi's distress as she's human, mizi would not be able to do the same things to sua without feeling anguished, especially to someone she has fallen in love with and truly cares about. That's why it's so heartbreaking seeing mizi’s last panel that she knows this isn’t the way she’ll regain herself, and it only pushes her deeper into her own spiral. Ugh i could keep on yapping but i gotta prepare myself for the new drop, i love you vvmeng keep shredding my heart till theres nothing left!! 💔
