Weekly Standup 50

No cover image this time - we're at the stage where I spend most of my time programming and testing and I don't have much visual stuff to show you.

TL;DR:

Things I got done this week: Mostly programming & writing final drafts. The new h-scene has some programming hurdles because of some features I want to implement. I also illustrated a bit, but that was more of a "hey I forgot this little thing" than any significant workload.

Things I want to get done next week: Programming and testing. I want to get all programming done during next week, at the least.

Monday - Illustrating: Created 2 new wax positions & 1 new ruler spank position for Ari's lying down h-scene. Created variant for ari's paperdoll to show tears while wincing (this took all of five minutes). Programming: Also integrated the new positions into the h-scene. Got the new quest playable until the Big Final Scene of this update (still needs final draft work). I discovered a weird visual glitch where Ari's expression stays wincing when using the candle while laying down and interrupting the h-scene with dialogue, but I couldn't figure out what's causing it.

Tuesday & Wednesday - Days off.

Thursday - Preproduction for non-PT stuff - I actually did a lot of that over the days off as well, and I was kind of on a roll so I kept going. I got a proof-of-concept of some very basic gameplay working in Godot, but I should probably focus on getting the VN stuff (like a dialogue system) down first. Fun fact: the Renpy project name for PT on my machine is still some random keymashing that I put in as the name for the proof-of-concept I was building for the interactive h-scene system - I've just kept building on that one project.

Friday - Writing: Final draft stuff for the scenes that are already in. Everything except for the h-scene is pretty much done and accessible.

Saturday - Programming: I started work on programming the new h-scene. I only got as far as getting the existing h-scene features working, but this scene will have a couple of new ones which work completely differently from the existing ones (at least programming-wise). Writing: I also started work on writing the new h-scene.

Sunday - Programming: Working on new h-scene stuff. It's not very fancy stuff, but it takes time. Writing: I've got about 50% of the final h-scene written.
