Current GOTY List + Considerations

Thought I should try and start making posts on this again. Every year I always want to do a big elaborate Game of the Year video similar to the one I did in 2020 but doing basically multiple full fledge reviews like that at the end of the year takes so much time that it doesn't feel realistically feasible.
I do keep track of what I am considering throughout the year as my list for GOTY along with all my considerations I want to fit in but some of them never make the cut because of how long some games are. KCD2 feels like the biggest example of that this year where that game could easily have 100-200 hours sunk into it which means less time. Everything on the right are games I have either started and haven't finished yet or haven't gotten to. The games i haven't finished at the time of writing this is: Spirit X Strike, Heartworm, Labyrinth of the Demon King, Cronos, Mafia The Old Country & Digimon Time Stranger.
The other thing I was conflicted about with this list is the inclusion of Early Access games. Originally I was planning on having them in just a mentions at the start before the list proper but then I remembered I had ULTRAKILL on the main list in 2020 and felt it wasn't fair to the games of 2025 if they arbitrarily weren't given a number ranking. Maybe I am overthinking it and its not that big of a deal but I do want to give attention to games i really enjoyed even if they aren't finished and featuring them in my videos can really help lesser known games in EA.
