Four volumes in, I think most of you know my habits. Yes, we are closing in on the end of Vol. 4, with work on Vol. 5 already well underway on my end.

TL:DR- my next scheduled break from Sky Pride will run from November 27- December 7, with Chap. 1 of Vol. 5 going up on Dec. 8. This isn't to say all posting will stop, as I have a couple of non-Sky Pride things I want to put up on the 27th & 28th, but that's the basic plan.

For those of you who are new, Hi! My general M.O. is to write some four or five weeks ahead of Patreon, which puts the chapter I am writing at any given time somewhere between one and a half or two months ahead of what's going up on Royal Road. The reason is pretty straightforward- it lets me find any major plot holes, figure out what I want to happen in the book, nail down themes, do research, and in the entirely forseeable event of life getting in the way of writing, I have a solid backlog of chapters and you guys don't miss out. It also lets me schedule breaks so I don't burn out.

Vol. 5 is shaping up... interesting. I'm not going to spoil things, but I quickly realized that if Vol. 4 was a classic-ish wuxia arc, Vol. 5 is going hard on xianxia. Agressively hard. I've already got grotto heavens (did you know those are real things? I didn't, but they are,) natural treasures, crafted wonders, forgotten arts, stebacks, triumphs, good comrades, ancient mysteries and, at long last, a serious upgrade to both the tea set and the tea supply.

And just in the course of writing this note, I have realized a significant change I need to make to what I have already written in Vol. 5. See? Things like this. This is why I need the lead time.
