Weekly status report 7

 Hi everybody.

It's been a busy week. We're so close to finishing the update that it's both exciting and nerve-wracking. Here's a summary of what we did:


Art:

Chestnut completed the sex scenes. Now all that's left to do is one hidden art plus a lot of smaller touch-ups and edits to other artworks (e.g., Kevin's angry eyes need improvement). 


Posing:

All posing and animation tasks are done.


Code:

We coded the hint screens for a few of the scenes that didn't have it yet. Pistachio also played around with Ren'py's image caching, adding image loops to the cache manually to improve the game's performance. As a result, some of the slower content are now noticeably faster (e.g., sex scenes). This manual prediction of images, however, did not work too well for screens (e.g., the maps) and, in some cases, resulted in bugs and unexpected behavior. The upshot of it is that we'll have more testing and experimenting to do.


Edit/debug:

We did a lot of editing and debugging, and more is on the way. 


Our plan for the coming week:

We want to finish everything that's left by Monday and spend the rest of the next week testing and fixing anything that needs to be fixed. We also want to make sure that the old save files work, so that will be another main focus of our work. Hopefully, very soon we'll be able to show you all what we've been doing in these two intense months.
