Bug Fix: the bugfix version (0.5.01) fixes an issue that new players experienced with Serena's mirror. If you had played WaL 0.4, you're unlikely to have been affected by this bug. If you played the 0.5 version and didn't run into any issues, you don't need to play 0.5.01.

This version has fewer images per sex loop (Lana's), improving its performance.
- Please note that we have not tested these ports, but Yenko and Roy have ported the game in the past with no issues. For more information on the features of these ports, see the P.S. at the bottom of this post. Additionally, you may experience issues with the port if your phone has low performance. Please be aware that we cannot provide support for Android issues as they are unofficial version.
Changelog:
- A new female character: Simmone Hammerdick (Lord Hammerdick's daughter)
- Two new male auxiliary characters: Sev, and Karl.
- Six new sex scenes: five with Lana (oral, vaginal, boob), and one with Simmone (hand).
- Six new locations (12 backgrounds in total): the marketplace, the dungeon, the city hall, behind the city hall, outside of the inn, and the Cursed Mansion, which itself contains 7 backgrounds.
- Two characters have their hidden photos: Rose and Madeline.
- One new splash art (Simmone)
- Eight new achievements
- Quality of life improvements (increasing the number pages for saves, notification icon in the hint screen to show unfinished quests, pop-op notification when collecting all photos and opening the album, change the main character's name from the preferences screen)
- The 0.5.01 bugfix: adds exit button to mirror, allows Lambert's photo to be collected from the mirror regardless of the content of the Main Story
What's next?
- Tomorrow evening we will make this page public and also update the links on our public Patreon page and website.
- Once we have the ported Android version of the game, we will update this page. The same is true with the compressed version. So if you're interested in those, revisit this page in a few days.
- If you encounter any bugs or issues, please do share them with me either by sending a message here or by contacting me on Discord (Pistachio).
- We will dedicate tonight and the weekend to the possible debugging of urgent issues that we have missed. After that, we plan to take a few days off until next Friday.
- In the week we're off, we will post wallpapers and a poll to get your feedback on what you think about the latest content.
Lastly, thank you so much to all of you for supporting us during the development of this update. I can only hope that after all this time, you can see our effort and enjoy its outcome.

P.S.:
Yenko and Roy both have ported the game for Android, and while they both should work on most Android devices, and have the exact same content as the main build, there are some differences between them:
Yenko's port:
- Quick Menu is enabled by default
- Gestures are enabled by default and are:
- Swipe Up -> Menu
- Swipe Down -> Hide Dialog Window
- Swipe Right -> Skip
- Swipe Left -> Rollback
Roy's port:
- Delete unwanted save slots
- Custom save name
- Dialogue outlines density controller
- HW-decode for better performance
- Toggle quick menu
- Text size & textbox opacity controller

If it crashes as soon as it loads, I guess something has changed with the Ren'py itself (since I updated it to the latest version for 0.5, after experiencing a bug with the earlier version). Could you try something else also, please? If you click Shift + G it should show the display options, allowing you to tweak a few features and options. Could you play around with those and see if changing say render or framerate improves the experience or not.

2021-09-30 20:55:09 +0000 UTCI just finished 0.5 and didn't find anything too dark or 'serious'. It was a superb storyline very touching at times with a good sprinkling of jokes. The only danger is that you raised the bar even higher for main-story continuation. Lana was great.

Simmone shot straight to the top of my favorites in the game (still a razor-thin second to Holly), Lana's material exceeded all expectations, I'm very grateful to have some progress on long-running mysteries, and I love where the story is going. Also, as much as I appreciate the comical tone of the game, it's nice to have a more concrete Big Bad who's legitimately threatening. Outstanding work.

The only downside is the time it takes between the updates (was it like 6-7months from the previous one?). I understand quality takes time though. Would it make sense to get help/hire someone to be able to get the updates out quicker?

2021-09-27 16:01:10 +0000 UTCNo, we don't plan to release an official Android port as that would require a lot more testing, and there are so many varieties of Android devices that trying to optimize for each one of them would take a lot of time, time we would rather spend on optimizing and debugging the main build. That said, the player-made ports have usually worked fine without major issues on most phones. To answer your second question, the save files are the same between Android and PC builds. You have to get the old save from the previous Android version or the PC version and paste it in the port's save file directory. If you're using Roy's build, for example, the directory will be Internal storage/android/data/what.a.legend.c18/files/save Can you specify if you're moving your save files from PC to Android or from one Android port to another one? Let me know if you need more help.

I thought it would be a bigger problem that it turned out to be, because at first I opened the C18 config menu by accident and then couldn't figure out how to get rid of it (as I didn't realise that button was there.

Personally i could have waited but i also was not happy with the delay and would rather have the current update just to experience it as perfection in my opinion is for when the game is done and needs to be polished for you to be happy with what you got before its released as a full game.

It's more serious in some ways, but that's great! The vaginal scenes in this update are so hot too! The art in many scenes and sex scenes are so beautiful! Great job guys!

That said, I think if your early testers are making you doubt your work, I think exposing the work to a larger group of people is for the best, especially if you say upfront that you are slightly uncertain about one particular aspect and would welcome feedback. People might confirm those doubts, or they'll surprise you and tell you "hey my favorite part is [thing you were proud of but worried would be unpopular]"
