UE5.2/5.3 - Interaction With ALS - Version 3.2.1 (Project Files) [No Replication]

------> Informations about animations:

In the project, not all animations will be included. Animations like Stealth Finishers come from the UE5 marketplace - OpenMarketplace In order for it to look like on a video, you need this package, which must later be uploaded to the project (I will present this process in a separate material). Without these animations, the project will run normally.

Edit: From this version, please do not edit the animation curves, now you only need to replace the damaged animations with the original ones.

Edit (Ver 2.2): I used other animations from anim pack from marketplace - Ultimate Traversal Anims by RamsterZ. I broke this animations but if you want to import orginal , buy this pack , export  choosed animations to fbx and reimport to the project.

Edit (Ver 2.5):  The Melee Combat system uses a new pack from the Marketplace. Animations are not included in the project, but the system can still be used, although bugs may appear. If you have this Animation Pack - Marketplace Link, do the same with it as with other bundles. Do not change any animation sequence settings, but reimport individual files. Attention! In the project, the names of the animations start with 'BF_H2H' or 'BF_Knife', so you need to replace the file names after exporting FBX.


------> INFO About Plugins:

The project currently includes a 4 plugins of my creation. To run the project in a newer version of the project, it is required to replace the plug-in files with new ones intended for a specific version of the engine and project.

Information about further development of the project:

I would like to inform you that this is not the final version 3.2. Within a week, I plan to gather information about potential errors or bugs, and then release update 3.2.1. I do not have a team assisting me with the project, so thanks to the bugs reported on the Discord server, I will be able to find as many of them as possible. Certainly, I won't be able to find them all, as I think that is impossible. Testing games is quite a lengthy process, but I don't have that much time. Thank you for your understanding. I must also mention the performance of the project. For my computer specifications (AMD Ryzen 7 3800X 8-Core, 32GB RAM, GeForce RTX 3060), on a scene without AI controllers, the project maintains an average of 90 FPS. Unfortunately, this is not an ideal number. I would like to achieve at least 105, 110 FPS in the future, although I know it will not be easy. Due to the project's high complexity, I might not succeed. Currently, I have determined that a major problem is Blueprint Animation, which heavily loads the processor. However, its optimization requires the application of many simplifications. I am considering changing the technology for animating basic locomotions, such as walking or crouching. I am thinking about using Distance Matching or even Motion Matching, as these are currently some of the most realistic animation programming systems. So, in summary, I now intend to focus on bug fixing and optimization. Future updates introducing new systems to the project will only be available for UE5.3 engine versions or higher.


I would also like to mention a small request. Namely, it is about private messages sent on Patreon. I would ask that this method of communication be limited, due to its large constraints. If your question is about the project, please send it on the Discord server, or in the comments under the Patreon post. In other cases, I would suggest an email or possibly via a Patreon mailbox. Please note that due to the large number of messages, I am unable to reply to all of them. Is there anyway to make the rope swing more fluid or quicker. I'm trying to implement it but it feels like my character is just dropping then swinging.

You can disable it. The bridge plugin isn't used in the project and its just for getting megascan assets and metahumans.

Whenever i try to open the project(im using 5.4.3) and it comes up with this error every time with no way around it. Please help Here is the error message: This project requires the 'Bridge' plugin, which could not be found. Would you like to disable it and continue? If you do, you will no longer be able to open any assets created with it. If not, the application will close.

The 5.2 plugins are already installed for the project when you download the zip file. You only have to add them when you use 5.3 or 5.4.

Where is 5.2 plugin download? It says 5.2 only but then has only 5.3 plugin donwload super confusing

Jakub modified the jumping parameters so they feel quite different from regular ALSV4. You can disable it by un ticking the "Use Jump Sequences" option in the 'ALS_AnimMan_CharacterBP'

Hey there! As others said, the climbing is a bit buggy sometimes when you reach the top of the a building. Another thing, there is a list of the actions available and how to perform them? I want to crawl, but I have no idea how to do it!

Also, not sure why the jump is so weird, the original ALS has a more smoother jump, this one feel again quite buggy, like it jumps 2 cm for a motion that is exaggerated for a good 1 meter at least.

climbing is buggy, is there a way to fix the climbing release, it often gets stuck at the end of the ladder or the beginning, it can't release or do the final step up.

Awe you're so busy, dude, don't apologise! I'll check it out and see if I can fix anything, but you're doing great. Def switch to the new version, there are clearly enough subtle changes that this project is still fully compiling while screwing up. It's gonna be a headache but it'll pobs be very very worth it! If I find any fixes I'll message you and send my version of the project to ya ^-^

In the rifle actor BP click on the skeletal mesh and search for "Render Static" and un check the box.

If he hasn't asked this question on the Discord server yet, I would suggest asking it there. It would be nice if you could also provide more details. Is your goal to reduce AI's reaction radius to the player's shot, or is it something else?

I have a question, I know it can be done but I can't find it, how do I reduce the listening field of the Human AI? I am doing a Level Design and when I shoot an enemy they all come after me. Tahanks you all!

I think the rope swing is significantly better now. Im honestly very impressed with it. Also thanks for fixing majority of the bugs I mentioned. I hope you can get the 5.3 plugins ready soon (:
