Where's the December Episode?

My darlings,

The boring answer is that I'm still editing it. It's going to be the edited version of the Bad Choices - Nick at Nite Couples livestream, which ended up being about five hours of raw audio. Needless to say, that presented a real challenge, especially since I'm not usually the editor and it's taken me some time to get back into the rhythm of editing.

The episode should be ready to drop by Wednesday at the latest. Normally, I'd be happy to commit to it dropping today, and it's close to be done, but this episode had some audio challenges that are requiring a lot more attention than is typical, so I don't want to over-promise.

I'm really sorry that I couldn't get an episode for December out DURING December, and I'm sorry it's not Stardew Valley (which will be happening in 2025!)

This podcast is a lot less like producing a podcast and a lot more like producing a play each month, so the casting, the scheduling, the organization, the script writing, the performances, all of it requires a great deal of preparation that isn't easily done, especially with a rotating cast. I would never want the show to be anything other than what it is, but it's certainly a feat to bring each episode into being.

It truly means the world that all of you support and care about this endeavor. Part of what I'm trying to commit to for 2025 is more bonus content and being further ahead on episodes so that they come out with a little more predictability. For a one person dog and pony show, that does feel ambitious, but I have some bonus stuff recorded that I'm really excited about and I want to make releasing regularly part of what 2025 looks like for Hard Choices.
