Added 2025-09-23 16:33:03 +0000 UTCListen, I only ever come up with catchy titles AFTER you've all given your opinions on the plot/the parts you liked/whatever. The working title was 'What's In The Waste Tank?' which was descriptive but not exactly mysterious.
There was also: That is a BODY...but maybe that gives too much away?

Hmmm. If Waste Tank Guy's name is FitzClarence ... wasn't George, Duke of Clarence, the brother of King Edward IV who was executed by being drowned in a butt of malmsey? Butts of malmsey being in short supply on space stations, did someone "settle" for a sewage tank instead?

(The named ones were 1812, Pike and One-Eye. And that makes me happy. Though I'm sure that ST3V3 will be more important to the plot, no matter useful 1821 was. (Whether ST3V3 belongs to the man in the waste tank or something else, it's just a feeling).

I see a callback to "some stains just don't wash out."

(Makes me want to adapt some of ny group's stories, even!) Have you ever thought about separating the author from the narrator? It might even be an interesting episode to debate what the narrator's voice should be, talk to the narrator character at their inception, etc.

It's one of those rare situations in which, the shit hitting the fan, means everything is perfectly normal. Finding a body, deceased or otherwise, in your Black water tank, is not perfectly normal.

The unregistered AI computer that fell in love with the body that is currently in the waste system. Love triangle between the computer, bren, and Steve. Steves body is in the waste system and whose Consciousness is in the robot. Does it count as a body when they sentience has been forcibly removed / mind ripped?
