Sworn to vows spoken in moonlit halls, the Knight of Dreams wields arms forged of slumber’s stuff. His oaths bind him to visions no waking man could endure, shaping both his destiny and the Dreamlands he defends.
Dream-Forged Weapon
Beginning at 1st level, the Knight may summon a weapon each day, formed from dream-stuff (starlight, mist, or the Knight’s own will).
Level 1: The dream-weapon counts as magical for striking creatures immune to normal weapons. If lost or broken, it dissolves into mist and may be re-summoned the next day.
Level 4: The weapon grants +1 to attack rolls when the Knight fights in accordance with his dream oath (see below). This effect is cumulative with the effects of the dream oath.
Level 8: The Knight may reshape the weapon into any form (sword, spear, bow, staff, etc.). Once per day, when fighting for his oath, the weapon may deal +2 damage for 1 turn.
Level 12: Once per day, the weapon may cut through barriers of reality itself, sundering enchanted walls, banishing a nightmare to its master, or striking a being otherwise invulnerable.
Dream Oath
Upon creation, the Knight swears an oath that defines his path in the Dreamlands. Examples include: defend the innocent, uphold beauty, serve a dream-city, pursue lost knowledge, protect the weak, destroy nightmares.
Once per day, when acting in accordance with his oath, the Knight may gain +2 to attack rolls, damage rolls, and saving throws for 1 turn (10 minutes).
Breaking an oath suspends this ability until the Knight atones through a deed of penance judged appropriate by the referee.
Combat
A Knight of Dream can use all types of weapons and armor.
Inspiring Presence
Allies within 30’ gain +1 saving throws against fear if they can see the Knight, provided the Knight is true to his oath.
After Reaching 9th Level
At 9th level, the Knight may establish a stronghold within the Dreamlands: a castle, fortress, or wondrous domain of his own imagining. Dreamborn, wanderers, and warriors are drawn to serve. The Knight’s oath shapes the surrounding dream-terrain, warping it into a realm of beauty, terror, or majesty.
