Sorry I haven’t been more visible lately. My mother is recovering from her hip surgery slowly but (hopefully) surely. We’ve been doing exercises three times a day, meeting with visiting therapists, and coping with the lingering, intermittent pain which I guess comes with the territory. After helping my Dad get through his own surgeries, you’d think I’d be an expert by now on what to expect in a post-op period! At any rate, I thank you for your kind consideration during this period.
But in case you think I’ve been sitting on my laurels where Zebra Girl’s concerned, I’d like to show off this series of insignias. Based on the test pages I posted earlier, many of you suggested that it would be nice if there were more variation in the ornamental frame around the comics. So now, in addition to the variation attached to the different formats the comic’s adopted over the years, each storyline will have a unique element embedded in the surrounding decorative space! I’ve highlighted them so you can fully appreciate my masterful shapemakering. As always, I'll be open to suggestions.
I’ve also been working on a piece depicting Zandra and Betty which I may have to present delicately. It’s one of those “keep the kids out of the room” sort of pictures, and I’m always a little trepidatious where those are concerned. But that’s for later.
Boy, this puts that moon landing business to shame, doesn’t it?
