Good girl
Added 2024-04-19 16:11:28 +0000 UTCStarting to draw my OCs for the comic! I’m playing around in clip studio with new brushes and some of the comic tools. I’ve done a few comics and had a moment of panic because my finished work takes FOREVER. I needed to experiment with new styles, techniques and tools to get things done more quickly. I’ve decided on this pencil and leaving things more sketchy for the line work instead of inking. I feel like it maintains the movement and life of my original drawings.
As for coloring… ugh I don’t know. I’ve been messing with these marker brushes that I really like but I’m still not sure. I love how traditional it looks but I need to learn about them more. I usually opts for full cel shading with gouache brushes but it takes too long and it’s too harsh for what I’m going for,
It’s been slow learning an entirely new program and changing my workflow but I’m really excited to make comics. Thankfully clip studio has so many tools to make things easier! I just need to practice and get this to be muscle memory so I can just get into my flow and make art.
